The U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD) and Technology Innovation and Field Services Division (TIFSD) present the Third International Phytotechnologies Conference. The conference will include current research to identify and optimize plant capability to reduce risk and enhance environmental benefit. This conference is designed to provide site managers, contractors, and consultants with up-to-date technical information, and to assist professionals in the regulatory community who oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of sites that use phytotechnology.

There will be an optional field trip on Tuesday April 19, 2005 to the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. For more information about the Savannah River site please see http://www.srs.gov. The tour will leave the Hyatt Regency Altanta hotel at 9:00 am and return to the hotel at 5:00 pm. If you are interested in attending the field trip and are a U.S. citizen please send your full name, mailing address, date of birth, and social security number to Lee Newman at newman2@gwm.sc.edu by March 29, 2005. If you are a non U.S. citizen please contact Lee Newman by March 22,2005 to determine if security clearances can be obtained for you to visit the site. The field trip is free and transportation will be provided to and from the Hyatt Regency Altanta hotel.
