There will be an optional field trip on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, to the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. For more information about the Savannah River site, please see http://www.srs.gov. The tour will leave the Hyatt Regency Altanta hotel at 9:00 a.m. and return to the hotel at 5:00 p.m. If you are interested in attending the field trip and are a U.S. citizen, please send your full name, mailing address, date of birth, and social security number to Lee Newman at newman2@gwm.sc.edu by March 29, 2005. If you are a non-U.S. citizen, please contact Lee Newman by March 22, 2005, to determine if security clearances can be obtained for you to visit the site. The field trip is free, and transportation will be provided to and from the Hyatt Regency Altanta hotel.
