By attending this Internet seminar, participants will achieve the following objectives:
- Learn which types of facilities are subject to CERCLA section 103, EPCRA, and CAA section 112(r) requirements. Understand chemical lists and threshold quantities triggering applicability of requirements, and common exemptions from the requirements.
- Learn the actions that chemical facilities must take to comply with CERCLA section 103, EPCRA, and CAA section 112(r) requirements, including providing chemical hazard information, reporting releases of hazardous substances to federal, state, and local authorities and implementing accident prevention and emergency response programs.
- Understand how other agencies' (for example, U.S. Department of Transportation [DOT], Occupational Safety and Health Administration [OSHA], and U.S. Department of Homeland Security [DHS]) hazardous chemical regulations may relate to or affect a facility's obligations under EPA's regulations.
