Desert Remedial Action Technologies (D-RAT) Workshop
Hosted by U.S. EPA, AZ Dept. of Environmental Quality, and CH2M Hill

The first Desert Remedial Action Technologies Workshop will be held in Phoenix, Arizona on October 2-4, 2007. The workshop will be sponsored and organized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, and CH2M Hill. An optional field trip will be offered on October 4, 2007.

This will be the first workshop to focus on innovative, emerging, and proven remedial technologies being successfully applied in desert environments. The program will emphasize field applications and case studies for technologies being applied to dissolved phase volatile organic compounds (VOCs), (specifically tricholoroethene [TCE]), perchlorate, and chromium. The focus will be on in-situ technologies.

The workshop will consist of presentations and posters to present innovative technologies. Posters will not be limited to successfully applied technologies, but may also present emerging technologies with desert applications.

The location will be at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort, located in Phoenix, AZ..
