The Public Health, Environmental and Enforcement Consequences of Pesticide Misuse
Hosted by Puerto Rico Dept. of Health, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR)

This one day conference will provide the participant with information on the regulations, environmental impact, enforcement issues, toxicology, health effects, and community impact from pesticide spills and misapplication. Case studies from Puerto Rico will be presented to illustrate these topics. An afternoon break-out session will enable the participant to gain more expertise in either medical/public health issues or environmental response and enforcement. For general information contact Leah Escobar via e-mail at escobar.leah@epa.gov
