UIC Inspector Training

Hosted by U.S. EPA

This course consists of four full days of classroom instruction and discussion and is taught by EPA national and regional experts having extensive background in the UIC program. A one-half day field trip is also included. Although this training will offer an overview of basic UIC concepts and terminology, the course assumes participants have a fundamental understanding of the UIC program. Under EPA Order 3500.1, this training course is required for all EPA UIC personnel who plan to lead UIC inspections or oversee employees who conduct UIC inspections. Since this course typically fills quickly, please pass this information on to your state and tribal counterparts and inform them that participants will be selected for this course on a first come, first served basis.
