All classes will be from 10 a.m.-noon Pacific (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mountain) (noon to 2 p.m. Central) and (1-3 p.m. Eastern).

Many people use Excel every day yet barely scratch the surface of what they can accomplish with this powerful program. By emphasizing keyboard shortcuts and exploring all of the hidden tools that are at your disposal, we will take your Excel skills to the next level and beyond. If you've ever spent an 8 hour day working in Excel and thought "there has got to be a better way," then this is the class for you.
Participants will build upon basic skills in using Microsoft Excel 2010 to leverage some of the more advanced capabilities of the program and learn techniques to improve their Excel proficiency. Tools explored include the graphing, charting, and formula functions used throughout the program, with special attention paid to keyboard shortcuts and efficient best-practices. This is a hands-on class, and attendees will work with real-world environmental situations to organize, calculate, and visualize tabular information. For additional exposure, a recommended third day, "Excel Up To Speed Part 2: Analysis and Visual Basic Programming (COMP-412)," is also offered immediately following this course.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:
Understand intermediate to advanced uses of Microsoft Excel beyond the simple data table
Feel comfortable exploring and using functions and recording macros
Leverage charting, Sparklines, PivotTables and PivotCharts for data visualization and trend analysis
Gain proficiency in using power shortcuts and recording macros that will save time.
**Please ensure that your computer has Excel 2010 (Excel 2007 acceptable).
An additional $50 discount applies when registering for both courses in the series.
*Reduced tuition is available to employees of Native American tribes, government agencies, nonprofits, students and NAEP, NEBC, NWAEP members. You may register online or by calling the Northwest Environmental Training Center at 425-270-3274.
