The Waste Policy Forum (WPF) and the border scrap Tire Group of the U.S./Mexico Border 2012 Program will meet back-to-back. The Tire Group will meet on March 30 and the Waste Policy Forum will meet March 31 - April 1. The WPF is the border-wide Border 2012 group on "Land Contamination" and the Tire Group is a sub-group of the WPF. The main focus of the WPF meeting is to discuss priorities for Land Contamination activities under the future U.S.-Mexico border program that will replace the current Border 2012 program. The Tire Group meeting will cover: SEMARNAT update, EPA Definition of solid waste and scrap tires, Management Plans and Programs, Scrap Tire Markets, Cleanup Events and Experiences, Educational Outreach Efforts and Legislatiion / Regulation. These meetings are open to the public.
The sessions will provide a wealth of information, discussion and networking opportunities, featuring professionals from across the United States and Mexico. Attendees are invited to register for either or both the Waste Policy Forum meeting and Tire Group meeting.
