"Contaminated Land: Applications in Real Environments" (CL:AIRE), a not-for-profit UK organization, is presently undertaking a research project on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), titled "A risk/benefit approach to the application of iron nanoparticles for the remediation of contaminated sites in the environment", supported by r3 Environmental Technology Ltd (UK), The University of Nottingham (UK), Deltares (Netherlands) and Geosyntec (USA).
