This course provides guidance to plan for and implement an effective public/community involvement program that encourages collaboration and the sharing of information. In 1980 Congress passed the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) to incorporate public involvement into the Superfund process.
