Energy comes in many forms - some of which are carbon intensive and some which are not. Renewables are typically thought of as the latter and often referred to as "green". However, RPS compliant power comes in many shades of green. This workshop will teach participants how to evaluate existing and potential generation sources through a due diligence multi-attribute method. The evaluation process looks at the full life cycle of a power source and system and the potential risks and values from a social, economic, and environmental perspective. Participants will learn how to identify relevant variables affecting generation sources, benchmarks between similar sources, how to make a plan for enhancement and/or mitigation, and how to communicate the information to decision makers and other key stakeholders.
