Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) Workshop
U.S. EPA - Region 4
Hosted by U.S. EPA - Region 4

This course is offered to EPA, State and Tribal personnel who are responsible for preparing Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) to meet EPA's quality system requirements. The workshop is designed to give participants an overview of EPA's quality assurance requirements, elements of a QAPP, development of a systematic planning process and data assessment. Management Plan (QMP). The QMP requires that Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) be developed and approved prior to data collection activities. In order to ensure that all Waste Division Supervisors and project managers responsible for the collection of field data are familiar with the QMP requirements for QAPP approval, there will be a one day Workshop conducted by SESD's Office of Quality Assurance and Data Integration on September 19, 2000 in Atlanta Federal Center. The Workshop will cover, in part, all the elements of pre and post sampling data collection that should be included in a QAPP, and the correct approval process which should occur prior to booking samples for analysis. All Waste Division supervisors and project managers engaged in data collection activities should plan (will be required) to attend the Workshops. Appropriate State contacts should be encouraged to attend also.
