Vapor Intrusion Workshop

This 5 day workshop (presented in 1 1/2 hour sessions over 5 days) is intended to provide participants with both the basic principles and practical tools for assessing health hazards from the migration of chemical vapors from the subsurface into indoor air. Presentations will include an overview of vapor intrusion issues and guidance, state-of-the-art sampling techniques, health hazard evaluation methods and case studies of site-specific investigations.

Objectives
At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Use current vapor intrusion guidance to conduct site-specific assessments.
  • Evaluate vapor intrusion sampling plans for public health assessment purposes. Identify public health hazards associated with vapor intrusion.
  • Draw upon lessons learned from actual case studies.

This is distance learning, not in-class training. Travel to Atlanta, Georgia, will not be necessary. All you need in order to attend this training is a PC with access to the Internet and a separate phone line. Procedural details will be provided via email to confirmed registrants (e.g., bridge number, Web site link, and information on any plug-ins necessary for connectivity and pre-course testing).
