Remedial Action Oversight Training for Mine Site RPMs, Part 2 Construction Oversight and Lessons Learned

Part 2: Construction Oversight and Lessons Learned

This section provides an in-depth understanding of construction oversight at fund-led mine sites with major remedial actions (RA). Participants will analyze organizational charts to comprehend roles, responsibilities, and the chain of command, comparing successful implementations from other sites. The module differentiates between construction management, oversight, and quality assurance, offering clarity on site roles and interactions. Additionally, lessons from repository construction and residential soils management will be shared, focusing on decision-making for excavation, managing cost overruns, and effective change order processes.
