Mercury Response and Cleanup
Hosted by EPA Emergency Response Section, Region 9

The course will discuss responding to and cleaning up spills involving Mercury. The class is designed for local, county, state, tribal and federal response teams. The newest “EPA Mercury Response Guidebook” will be provided as part of the class. The class agenda includes:

  15. Non-Elemental Mercury Assessment and Cleanup Process
  16. Post Cleanup Clearance
  17. Disposal
  18. Community and Public Relations
  19. Enforcement
  20. Cost Recovery
  21. Case Studies

The class will be limited to two persons per agency. Additional classes will be added if there is enough demand.
