This is an eight hour course, which will include 3 hours of classroom lecture and 5 hours of “dry” set-up of equipment and “wet” (on-water) operations.  Classroom lecture will include:

o Safety and Health Awareness for Oil Spill Cleanup Workers
o Oil Recovery Equipment & Methods
o Boom Types & Techniques
o Underflow Dams & Containment Structures

On-water deployment will include shoreline protection methods, collection point and deflection booming

Target audience for this exercise are emergency responders who may be involved in oil spill response, including contractor personnel who would be deploying boom and personnel overseeing equipment deployment.
