Event Name: Plymouth to Salisbury, Massachusetts - Area Committee Meeting
Event Description:

The Oil Pollution Act of 1990 requires each Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP), the lead federal official for pollution response in the Coastal Zone, to co-chair along with state environmental partners an Area Committee consisting of representatives from Federal, State, and local government. Industry, port partners, academia, environmental groups, and other non-government organizations are also an important part of our Committee’s membership. Attendees are encouraged to take public transportation by taking the MBTa Redline to JFK UMASS stop and then take Bus #1 (Paul Revere company) to the Campus Cemter Building as alternative. The shuttle is free and the redline fees are minimal.
 
If you drive, parking fees range from $9 (Bayside) to $15 (West Garage) - see map link above for parking locations. Prepaid parking passes can be purchased through the office of Parking and Transportation at parking.trans@umb.edu or 617-287-5041.
 
Directions from north of Boston:
Take the MBTA Redline train (Ashmont or Braintree) to JFK UMASS stop and then take the Paul Revere Shuttle (Free) to and from the campus.
 
Directions from south of Boston:
Take the MBTA Redline train (Alewife) to JFK UMASS stop and then take the Paul Revere Shuttle (Free) to and from the campus.
