Event Name: Environmental Justice and Superfund's Approach through Community Involvement

Event Description:

The Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI) will provide Superfund regional site teams with an overview of the Superfund Program's approach to environmental justice. In this webinar, participants will learn about the history of environmental justice, Superfund's regulations, tools, and resources pertaining to environmental justice, and the challenges that site teams face while working within communities with potential environmental justice concerns. Presenters will also share a brief snapshot of EJ case studies featured within EPA Region 5's Environmental Justice Best Practices guidance document, followed by a panel discussion that will further highlight environmental justice best practices and principles.

Primary Audience: Regional site teams including CICs, RPMs, SAMs, OSCs, CIPIB, and other EPA staff supporting Superfund work, EJ staff (to understand how SF approaches EJ and how EJ staff can support).
