HQ/DC Program Office

The EPA HQ/Wash DC program office staff have priority registration for this course.

This course is presented in an online virtual instructor-led platform to address the course training needs consistent with the COVID-19 March 15, 2020 OMB guidance (OMB M-20-15) issued for the National Capital Region and updated information provided.

An approved medical evaluation in accordance with the Respiratory Protection Standard, 29CFR1910.134 is a required prerequisite prior to full class registration completion.

This class is scheduled from:

January 11-13, 2022 8AM-5PM PT (Eastern Time) Part 1/virtual online for all participants - thru the Virtual Adobe Connect Platform

Jan 18-19, 2022* Part 2/Group A** in-person training dates at Ft Meade facility (1^st Group)***

Jan 20-21, 2022 Part 2/Group B** in-person training dates at Ft Meade facility** (2^ndGroup)***

Notes:

*The first 16 confirmed ERTP enrollment/registrations will automatically be enrolled for the Group A dates.

**The Group B Jan 20-21 training dates will be used only if needed to limit the daily number of participants participating in the” in-person hands-on training” into two different in-person training dates to limit the daily number of participants at the training site. 

***For the Group A & B in-person training dates, it is essential for individuals registering for the course be available for either the 1st Group or 2nd Group in-person training dates.  Additional location/logistic details for the in-person training component will be provided in the second Outlook calendar event participants will receive pertaining to Group A or Group B in-person training dates.

Class participation details will be provided to Trainex enrolled/registered participants for this course through receipt of separate Outlook calendar events transmitted to the registered participant’s email address used for course registration.

Class registration and participation details:

1. Trainex website registrations- All course enrollment registrations for this course will occur at Trainex.org.
2. Medical Clearance Authorization – Receipt of the medical clearance authorization at email address: ertp-h&s@epa.govand subsequent review of document(s) for completeness.
3. Receipt of Outlook calendar event email- Upon ERTP’s receipt of the participants Trainex.org site class registration, the participant will receive an Outlook calendar email from:  ertp-h&s@epa.gov
4. Together, completion of items 1) through 3) above completes the course registration process.  It is the course participants responsibility  to carefully review the initial Outlook calendar events received and follow directions provided, as well as monitor incoming and/or updated Outlook calendar event emails received that identify changes or updated information for the course logistics, participant requirements, and/or other information.  For registered participants only, training participation instructions will be provided thru receipt of emailed Outlook calendar event updates several days prior to the course start date. 

Full attendance, participations in interactive quizzes and polls, and answering 75% of the test questions are required to receive the course completion certificate.

This is a 40 Hour Hybrid course (3 days of virtual class plus 2 days of in-person)

Participant instructions will be provided through an emailed Outlook calendar event later after registration & after enrollment are fully complete upon ERTP's successful review & approval of the participant's medical evaluation received.
