Scientific Support Coordinator (SSC) Training

The Scientific Support Coordinator (SSC) Training course is open to EPA's national special teams personnel who may be called upon to provide advice and inform decision-making for all science and technology-related incident activities under both normal and extreme circumstances. The SSC may, at the request of the On-Scene Coordinator (OSC), provide scientific support for operational decisions and for coordinating on-scene scientific activity, as specified in the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP) (40 CFR 300.145).
