Hosted by U.S. EPA
Office of Site Remediation Enforcement

Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) Search Training is a three-day training event. You will hear from attorneys, investigators, and other experts in Superfund’s PRP Search community. This is NOT a basic PRP Search Training course. If you are looking for basic training, please see the links under "recommended prerequisites" for the PRP Search Training Videos and Manual.

By attending the training, participants will achieve the following objectives:

  • Enhance their understanding of the Superfund Enforcement program through discussion of various Regional perspectives on how PRP Searches are handled.
  • Review details of case studies that are changing the way PRP Search work is executed due to national challenges of shrinking resources and the ever-changing nature of case work.
  • Become a well-rounded investigator by diving into the details of corporate analysis, insurance policies, scientific information for building your cases, and more.
  • Understand how keeping accurate and complete records of PRP Searches benefits you and sets the stage for a successful case.

This PRP Search Training is a 3-day training recommended for individuals with at least six months of experience in Superfund. Besides those hosting and presenting the training, priority registration will be given to Regional staff.
