This is an eight hour course, consisting of both classroom lecture and equipment deployment. Training course will cover hazard evaluation for emergency response, the selection of chemical detection equipment and methods, including equipment limitations, and air surveillance design considerations relative to the behavior of smoke plumes and air releases.

If you register for this class, you are automatically enrolled in the morning session and do not need to register for the classroom portion separately
This exercise will also include a deployment on the county grounds of the former Plattsburgh AFB.
Note: There will be opportunity for remote participation (ie. – to an Agency EOC or other internal communications hub) during the VIPER component of the exercise. This would involve the practice and exercise of receipt of real-time situational information and data and EOC-to-EOC communication and coordination.
