The Superfund Redevelopment Initiative has developed a new alternative energy pre-feasibility analysis process for Superfund sites. This process, which often involves economic analysis and GIS mapping components, serves as an initial step to determine if a Superfund property could support alternative energy projects. The presentation will highlight two sites: the Iron King Mine Humboldt Smelter site and the Apache Powder Company site in Arizona at which SRI has provided site stakeholders with pre-feasibility analyses.
